Ahmed Naseer
Chairman
Ahmed Naseer is an economist and former governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He also earned a diploma in education from Curtin. In 2007, Naseer was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and completed his MA in Economic Policy from Williams College, Massachusetts, United States.
After three years in the education sector, he joined the Ministry of Finance and Planning and was the State Minister and Advisor to the Minister. Upon completion of his master's degree, he joined the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), the central bank of the country. Prior to his appointment as governor, from August 2017 to July 2019, he served as CEO of the Capital Market Development Authority and as a PFM consultant at the Ministry of Finance. Currently works as CEO of NIG Capital Pvt Ltd, a financial and management consulting firm.
Naseer has been actively engaged in the tourism sector and is among the founders of the 'Guest House Association of Maldives'. Naseer has also been acknowledged as a pioneer in Maldives local island tourism, having opened his Guest House, White Shell Beach Inn, on Maafushi Island as the first guest house on a local island.

Abdul Wahid Thowfeeq
Managing Director
A chartered Insurer by profession, Mr. Wahid has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his career at Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives and advanced through the ranks to become the Managing Director. During his time there, he led the company to become established as the large multi-faceted organization that it is today.
Mr. Wahid is also the co-founder of Ensis Fisheries Pvt Ltd. Responsible for operations of the entire group, he has led Ensis Fisheries to become the leading fish exporter in the Maldives.
Widely traveled and well-known within the business community of the Maldives, Mr. Wahid has extensive experience managing market-leading companies, and leading teams in strategic planning, finance, and management.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Mohamed Shafaz
Deputy Managing Director
Mr. Shafaz has over 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his career in the Finance Department of Allied Insurance Company and advanced his career overseeing various other departments like Information Systems, Marketing, Human Resources and Administration. He also assumed the role of Company Secretary before he was appointed to the Board of Directors where he served for over 12 years. Mr. Shafaz played a vital role in success story of the company and lead the company as the Managing Director in his last 5 years at Allied Insurance.
Alongside his role at Allied, he also held the position of Managing Director of Aasandha Pvt. Ltd., from December 2011 till December 2012 during which he was engaged in implementing, managing and operating the National Health Insurance Scheme for the government.
Mr. Shafaz holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies from Grenoble Graduate School of Business, France and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from University of Middlesex, UK.

Ahmed Ameel
Director
Mr. Ameel has been a key influential player in the insurance industry in the Maldives, serving his latest post as Managing Director of Allied Insurance Company before joining Dhivehi Insurance.
Being at the helm of the industry, Mr. Ameel has pushed forward many new groundbreaking insurance initiatives in the Maldives. Equally passing on his experience and technical consultancy to Dhivehi Insurance.

Mohamed Mujah Muneer
Chief Investment Officer
Mujah Muneer is a CFA Charterholder with over 11 years of experience in investments and finance. He was Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Maldives Fund Management Corporation. At the Maldives Monetary Authority, he worked in the Public Debt Unit and the Reserve Management Section. He also served as Consultant at the Ministry of Economic Development and Non-Executive Director at SDFC. He holds a degree in Business Economics and Finance from the University of Nottingham.
Aishath Rubeena Naseem
Head Of Corporate Affairs And Administration
Ms. Rubeena has a broad understanding of business functions, having spent over 16 years in roles related to Corporate Affairs, Human Resource Management and Operations Management. She holds a Master of Business Administration from James Cook University, Singapore.
At Allied Insurance she managed Human Resources and L&D objectives of the company. Later she worked as a Management Specialist for U.S. Embassy in Maldives and contributed significant efforts as the Embassy transitioned to an independent operation and expanded mission’s footprint in Maldives.

Ahmed Rameez
Head Of Finance & Investments
Mr. Rameez is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 15 years of experience and a robust background in finance and auditing. His extensive career includes roles such as Senior Accountant at STO and Head of Finance Department and Chief Internal Auditor at Maldives Gas.
In these positions, he refined his expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, risk management, budgeting, audit planning and implementation, and team management. Mr. Rameez is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives, a Chartered Management Accountant (UK), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (USA). These affiliations reflect his commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends. His leadership has been instrumental in driving business growth.
